Harrah’s scratch Surface with Microsoft

Microsoft are beginning a new trial of their latest technology, Microsoft Surface in Las Vegas. Harrah’s Casino in Vegas have partnered with the giant software maker to run a series of trials of their touchscreen technology “Surface”.

Stalker friendly applications

The 30-inch installations will enable patrons to order drinks for “lucky” people who catch their eye via the interactive menus. As soon as the drink is delivered to the intended recipient you can begin a chat via the touchscreen interface.

But it’s not all for unsolicited intentions. The touchscreen tables will also allow you to buy food and play games while you scan the room for prey.

Just a gimmick

Initially it may seem like that but no doubt the technology will become prevalent as an aid to ordering in shops, cafes and hotels the world over.
